I know I'm nearly home when I see the somewhat lurid (or ghostly) blue glow of the Universal Shopping Centre.

Running a bit late

Just leaving Rugby, and running about 16 mins late - got held up behind a Network Rail train having some problems. Watford Junction next, and then Euston.

Crewe

If I can ever get this thing to send again (!) - we've just left Crewe.

Lancaster

And only a few mins late. Next, Wigan North Western, and then Warrington Bank Quay. I've checked with the train manager, and he said that his electronic readout indicated that the train my reservation is on should be running as normal. So, fingers crossed!

First black cloud

Just past Oxenholme and a patch of dark clouds above. Otherwise, it's been beautifully sunny and clear all the way from Glasgow.

Carlisle behind us now

Signal was so bad I didn't manage to send that last post until we were pulling into Carlisle station! Anyway, we've now left Carlisle, and the next stop is Lancaster. Due to arrive there about 16:10.
