An inscription on the front of the drinking fountain reads:
"This fountain and adjoining troughs were erected by local subscription in 1878 by the Metropolitan Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough Association."
Sadly the cattle troughs appear to have disappeared, and the drinking fountain is no longer in working condition.

Instead of getting on the bus at Ealing Common station last night, I walked along to have a closer look at this drinking fountain. Seems it's been there since 1878!

Not sure why some people hate these long bendy buses so much. I rather like them. They're fast and easy to get off and on, there's plenty of room inside to sit or stand, and lots of room for bags and stuff too.

Haven't a clue what this building is, but it's an interesting shape and design!
Update: I've discovered that this is "The London Ark", a landmark design office building. More about the London Ark.
